I’m Angela Gordillo and I’m a wedding and portrait photographer. I am from the Bay Area and currently live in Glendale, Arizona. I love to photograph natural light, candid moments, and eyes that express emotion.
Who I am
The things that make my heart smile the most are my iPod on shuffle mode, random but hilarious text messages, a card or letter from a loved one, homemade ice cream, the color pink, the last two minutes of my Bikram Yoga class, and my chubby bulldog Cupcake.
I love football more than any woman should. Most of my male friends won’t engage in debates anymore, because I know too much, and my female friends, well they just don’t get it. Girls that love football are not weird. They are a gift from God, and they deserve bigger diamonds.
My two sons are the love of my life and the life of my love. I know that being their mother is the most important thing I will ever do in this life. The men they become is the best reflection of my heart and character.
What I do
Everyone should have photographs of themselves that they love! I know that every woman and girl wants to feel beautiful and every guy wants to define swagger. I’ve made it my mission to do exactly that for anyone that finds themselves in front of my camera. I provide a fun, exciting, and unique photo shoot experience so that I can produce images that capture the best version of you. I want your photographs to be art work that you will cherish forever.
Why I do it
I’ve been taking pictures for the better part of 25 years. The truth is my parents made it a big deal to document every stage of their lives, which included me, with photographs. My dad always took the photos and my mom always put them in albums or framed them and hung them on the walls. I passed by all those pictures everyday for years. We spent many late nights laughing, crying, and remembering flipping through stacks of family albums. Imagine my disbelief when I first learned that not everyone’s childhood had been documented with such precision. I believe photographs are like music for your eyes. Have you ever heard a song and had it take you right back to an exact moment in time? Photos do that too. Even with all the latest and greatest technology, there is nothing that captures a moment in time, a milestone, or your story like photographs. I cannot explain the overwhelming excitement when I am asked to photograph a client. I work so hard to honor the responsibility I’ve been given to create images that reveal who you are in that moment. And when clients fall in love with their photographs, well let’s just say it makes me want to do cartwheels, and I can’t even do a cartwheel!
